A wanted felon running from police attempted a maneuver in his car that would make the Dukes of Hazzard proud.
Police in Virginia say Michael Christopher Mills Jr., 38, was being stopped and questioned in Chesapeake over charges of felony identification theft.
That’s when Mills reportedly lead police on a short car pursuit towards the descending Gilmerton Bridge.
In ‘good ole boy’ fashion, Mills broke through the bridge’s guard gates, and attempted to jump the car over the narrowing gap.
However the gap was too wide and Mills and the car when hurling into the water.
Mills was fished out of the water man only suffered injuries to his neck and arms. He’s facing felony eluding and property damages charges.
