I’m pretty sure you’ve noticed that selfies is the current trend among social networks’ users nowadays. You know that it has become a craze that can actually drive you crazy. Well, the guy I am going to talk to you about today had more to lose than his mind. His head. Thank God, he didn’t and now he’s got the chance make $250,000 out of it too!
Our guy, Jared Michael considered it’d be nice to take a selfie next to a train that was supposed to pass behind him. So he rolled his camera and was getting ready to capture the moment when the train would pass him by really close. Unfortunately for him, he miscalculated the distance between him and the train and that gave the chance to the train driver to kick him (!) in the head while passing by. Jared’s camera was filming at that moment so the whole incident is captured on video and that has been uploading on Youtube. Here comes the profitable part of it.
Within less than a week, 22 million users have seen the video and the number is still rising. Most of us will probably laugh at him but this young man has probably made the investment that will change his life. The proposals from advertising companies were sent in the first few hours. The viral video hounds predicted that the video would know great success and rushed to claim the advertisment preceding the video on Youtube. Jared announced that finally came to an agreement with a company and he will get $2 to $16 for every 1000 views his video has. The exact amount was not disclosed but it is reported that the calculations show that the protagonist will make a profit of between 30,000 and 250,000 dollars. The 22-year-old said the money will provide for his studies and for some film projects with which he is experimenting. Talk about luck, huh? Watch the video and see for yourselves.
