After all the noise generated by the wearable products, what was left to be seen? That every company or entrepreneur wants to make their own movement in this area, and that is the case of Will.i.am, singer in the Black Eyed Peas, who has just launched his own smartwatch called Puls.
This device has a design that looks like “that” which many of us thought would be the Apple iWatch: it has a circular appearance and a curved screen, as well as a battery that is integrated around the product. It is also autonomous, which means there is no need for it to be tethered to a smartphone.
Inside Puls there is a 3G antenna, thus it includes too a slot for SIM Card and will operate under AT & T in USA and O2 in the UK. This allows you to make and receive calls, send messages and many other possibilities that are enabled by having mobile Internet.
It also has 16 GB of internal storage, 1 GB of RAM, GPS, WiFi, pedometer, accelerometer and Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and an operating system based on Android system and voice commands that will even remind the user about his or her pending tasks.
Whoever finds Puls attractive might also want to know that Will.i.am and his team have also thought about new ways to use this technology; for example, it will have astreaming music service, speakers and microphone, but also some they created some cutting edge accessories such as a jacket with battery that will charge Puls while the sleeve is in contact with the bracelet.
The price of the device that this singer will sell through his brand i.am+ is not known yet. It will be available in black, white, pink and blue, and it will have two exclusive versions: one with gold and the other one with gold and diamonds, which will probably cost a fortune.
